A black racial group. Also known as Negroid. They have brown to dark brown skin, curly to curly hair, wide noses, prominent mouths, little body hair, and developed sweat glands. Their height varies widely from tall to short. The Melanotic African race in Africa is sometimes divided into the Sudanese, Nilotic, Guinean, Congo, and Zambezi subraces, as well as the Ethiopian, Negrilo (pygmy), and Khoisan races.
