Leader of a right-wing terrorist group. His real name was Akira. Born in Gunma Prefecture. After graduating from Maebashi Middle School, he worked as a boy apprentice, a temporary worker, and a substitute teacher, before dropping out of Waseda University and the Oriental Association College. In 1910 (Meiji 43), he traveled to Manchuria (northeastern China) and worked in intelligence activities for the army, moving around the continent from time to time, before returning to Japan in 1921 (Taisho 10). He then converted to the Nichiren sect and took the name Nissho in 1924. In 1951, he joined the right-wing group Kenkakukai, but soon left. From 1952 (Showa 2), he lived at Rissho Gokokudo in Oarai, Ibaraki Prefecture, where he worked to educate rural youth through the Nichiren sect and nationalism. He also linked up with young naval officers and began to aim for the reform of the nation through military force. In 1957, he formed the Blood Medal League and planned assassinations based on the "one man, one kill" principle, having his subordinate Onuma Tadashi kill former Minister of Finance Inoue Junnosuke and Hishinuma Goro kill Dan Takuma, chairman of Mitsui Gomyō (the Blood Medal League Incident). He turned himself in and was sentenced to life imprisonment for 1954, but the sentence was commuted and he was released in 1965 under a general amnesty. The following year, he approached Konoe Fumimaro and served as his advisor. After World War II, he was banned from public office in 1948 (Showa 23). In 1954, he founded the National Defence League and became its leader, but resigned the following year and retired.
