A town in Shibetsu County, eastern Hokkaido. Dairy farming is the main industry, and agricultural product processing is also carried out. Nakashibetsu Airport has direct flights to Sapporo and Tokyo, making it the base for tourism in eastern Hokkaido. Yoroushi Onsen is located here. Area: 684.87 km2 . Population: 23,982 (2010).
