This manor was the territory of the regent family in Nakajima-gun, Owari Province. It is considered to be the area from the southern part of Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture, to Hirata-cho and Kaizu-cho in Kaizu-gun (both towns are now Kaizu City), and Sobue-cho in Nakajima-gun, Aichi Prefecture (now Inazawa City). At that time, it was roughly divided into Kawahigashi and Kawanishi, separated by the Sunomata River (now Nagara River), with the towns of Nishikata, Oyabu, Higashikata, and Ishida in Kawahigashi, and Akiue and Sakaikata in Kawanishi. It was the territory of Emperor Toba's Empress Koyoin Yasuko (daughter of Fujiwara Tadamichi), and passed down to the Konoe family through Fujiwara Tadamichi and Motozane. The manor was given to different feudal lords on each side of the east and west sides. In 1094, a dispute with the provincial government determined the four limits as follows: eastern limit: east bank of the river, western limit: Ise Shrine, southern limit: Owada Sakai, northern limit: Ogure Manor Sakai. In 1212, Nagase Jiro, a resident of Mikawa Province, was appointed as land steward, and after the Jokyu War, he was replaced by Sasaki Nobutsuna. The positions of geshiki and tadokoro were passed down from generation to generation to the Takahashi clan, who held the position of Kawahigashi Ishida Goji of Nagaoka Manor. During the Kamakura period, there were repeated disputes with Horio Manor, a neighboring manor on the west side of the Konoe family's territory, over the boundaries of the manor and the obstruction of land stewardship. It seems that the manor left the Konoe family's territory after the Nanboku-cho period, and in 1348 the position of land steward was donated by Kitabatake Chikafusa to Kanshinji Temple in Kawachi Province. In addition, fields within the manor were often donated by the lord, the yoke, and the land steward to Kitano Shrine and Shinpukuji Temple (now Hosho-in Temple, Naka-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture), which were located within the manor.
