Neisse [river] - Neisse
A tributary of the Oder (Odra) River between Poland and Germany. Its Polish name is the Nysa River. It originates in the mountains at the northern end of the Czech Republic, flows north along the Polish-German border, and joins the Oder River 15 km north of Guben. Its total length is 255 km. After World War II, the Oder-Neisse line, which joins these two rivers, became the border between Germany and Poland.
