Dordrecht
A city in the southwest of the Netherlands. 20 km southeast of Rotterdam, it is a river port city on the Maas River and a railway center. Industries such as shipbuilding, flour milling, and sugar refining are carried out here. Founded in 1008, it was the birthplace of the Protestant Reformation in the Netherlands in the 16th century. 118,810 people (2011).
