〘Noun〙 A way of fishing for sweetfish. A unique Japanese fishing method in which a live decoy sweetfish is baited with a hook and allowed to swim, taking advantage of the sweetfish's strong territorial tendencies, and the fish is lured in and hooked. ※Tokyo Fuzokushi (1899-1902) <Hiraide Kojiro> Vol. 2 " Tomodzuri" means tying a live sweetfish to silk.
