A general term for insects belonging to the Hemiptera family Berytidae, or one of these species. This family is named after the many species of stink bugs that have particularly long, slender, thread-like antennae and legs, as well as long, slender bodies. Four species are found in Japan, and all are herbivorous. The Yemma exilis is 6 mm long. Its body is extremely long and slender, with a light brown upper surface, but the ventral surface is green when alive. Its head is small, its antennae longer than its body, and its fourth segment is short, black, and club-shaped.

半翅目イトカメムシ科Berytidaeに属する昆虫の総称，またはそのうちの1種を指す。この科はカメムシ類の中でもとくに触角とあしが糸状で細長く，体も細長い種類が多いのでこの名がある。日本には4種が分布する。いずれも植食性である。イトカメムシYemma exilisは体長6mm。体はきわめて細長く，表面は淡褐色であるが，生時腹面は緑色を帯びる。頭部は小さく，触角は体長より長く，第4節は短く黒色で棍棒状。
