First aid kit - Kyukyuubako

A portable box containing first aid medicines for minor injuries and illnesses. It is made of moisture-resistant materials (metal, plastic, etc.) and has a first aid mark (green, black, or white cross) or is clearly marked as a first aid kit (red crosses require permission from the Japanese Red Cross Society). In addition to household use, the contents prepared vary depending on the characteristics of the group, such as school or workplace, indoors or outdoors, and for children or adults.

At home, in addition to household medications, you should prepare tweezers, scalpels, scissors, tongue depressors (spoon, disposable chopsticks), gauze, absorbent cotton, bandages, triangular bandages, bandages, waterproof paper (oil paper, vinyl), cotton swabs, flashlights, splints, thermometers, enemas (commercially available disposable ones), ice pillows, ice packs, and pocket warmers (hot and cold marker packs are fine). 軽いけがや病気などの応急手当てのための救急薬品類を入れた携帯用の箱。湿気を防ぐような素材（金属やプラスチックなど）でつくられ、救急マーク（緑か黒、または白の十字）をつけるか、救急箱と明示されている（赤い十字は日本赤十字社の許可が必要）。家庭用のほか、学校や職場、屋内または屋外、子供や大人など、その集団の特性によって準備される内容が異なってくる。

　救急箱は、その取扱い責任者を定めておき、その者は医師または保健師の指示、指導を得て、救急の目的が達成できるように使用法を熟知し、救急箱の内容を定期的に点検し補充しておく必要がある。

　家庭では、家庭常備薬のほか、ピンセット、メス、鋏(はさみ)、舌押え（スプーン、割箸(わりばし)）、ガーゼ、脱脂綿、包帯、三角巾(さんかくきん)、絆創膏(ばんそうこう)、防水紙（油紙、ビニル）、綿棒、懐中電灯、副木(ふくぼく)、体温計、浣腸(かんちょう)剤（市販の使い捨て用）、氷枕(こおりまくら)・氷嚢(ひょうのう)・懐炉（冷温両用マジックパックでもよい）などを用意する。全部を箱に詰める必要はないが、一括して保管するよう心がける。
