Astronomical coordinates - celestial coordinates

Japanese: 天文座標 - てんもんざひょう

Coordinates used to indicate the positions of celestial bodies. There are heliocentric coordinates, which use the sun as the origin, geocentric coordinates, which use the center of the earth as the origin, equatorial coordinates, which use the equatorial plane as the base, and ecliptic coordinates, which use the celestial ecliptic as the base. They are used according to the convenience of observation and calculation. In addition, there are horizontal coordinates, which use the horizon or zenith as the base from the observer's perspective, and galactic coordinates, which use the mean plane of the galaxy as the base.
