Tenno [town] - Tenno

Japanese: 天王[町] - てんのう

A former town in Minamiakita County, Akita Prefecture, occupies a sandbar that separates the Hachirogata Reservoir from the Sea of Japan, and the former main settlement, Tenno, faces the Funakoshi Channel. The current main settlement is Futada, where the Oga Line runs. In addition to rice cultivation, vegetable and fruit cultivation is also popular. Fishing is also practiced. In March 2005, it merged with Showa Town and Iidagawa Town in Minamiakita County to become a city, Katagami City. ^{41.51 km2} . Population 22,437 (2003).

秋田県南秋田郡の旧町，八郎潟調整池と日本海を分ける砂州を占め，旧主集落天王は船越水道に臨む。現在の主集落は男鹿線の通じる二田(ふただ)。稲作を行うほか，野菜・果実栽培が盛ん。漁業も行う。2005年３月南秋田郡昭和町，飯田川町と合併し市制，潟上市となる。41.51km²。２万2437人（2003）。
