Transformation story - Tenshin Monogatari
Ovid's epic poem. 15 volumes in total. It is a collection of stories from Greek and Roman mythology and history about humans transforming into trees, birds, etc., such as Echo and Narcissus and Arachne who turned into a spider. Starting with the creation of the universe from the primeval chaos, to Caesar becoming a star, the countless legends of transformation continue like links in a chain. From the Middle Ages to the early modern period, it was highly valued as a treasure trove of Greek mythology, and was widely used in art and literature. Apuleius also wrote a novel of the same name.
