Heavenly tears - Tenkyu

Rain or snow falls even though there are no clouds visible in the sky. There are various cases where this occurs, as follows: During the vanishing period of convective clouds, it is not uncommon for clouds to disappear while the raindrops are falling. A rainbow may also form. Air currents that cross mountains become downdrafts on the leeward side, so clouds that have formed on ridges may disappear, and only the raindrops may be blown away by the wind and fall to the ground. New snow that has accumulated on mountainous areas is picked up by the wind and carried down to the plains. This is a type of snow flakes.

上空に雲が見られないのに雨や雪が降ること。これには次のようにいろいろな場合がある。雨滴が落下する間に雲が消えてしまうことは、対流性の雲の消滅期には、そう珍しい現象ではない。虹(にじ)ができることもある。山を越える気流は風下側で下降気流になるため、尾根にできた雲は消失し、雨滴だけが風で飛ばされて地上に落ちることがある。山地に積もった新雪が風で巻き上げられ平地まで運ばれる。これは風花(かざはな)の一種である。
