Japanese: てこばかり(梃子秤) - てこばかり（英語表記）lever scale

This refers to a scale that uses a lever for the mechanism of the scale, such as detecting and transmitting the load. Small-capacity scales such as bar scales and balances are made up of primary levers with the force point, fulcrum, and weight point arranged in that order, while large-capacity scales such as platform scales are made up of secondary or tertiary levers, which are arranged in parallel or in series with the primary lever and the fulcrum, weight point, and force point, or the fulcrum, force point, and weight point arranged in that order. The distance between the fulcrum and the force point, or between the fulcrum and the weight point, is called the arm length, and the ratio of the lengths of the two arms is called the leverage ratio.
