A former town in Kume County, central Okayama Prefecture. Occupying the northeastern part of the Kibi Plateau and the southern part of the Tsuyama Basin, the town cultivates tobacco and raises dairy cows and Japanese beef cattle. The main settlement is Kamenokou along the Tsuyama Line.
