This manor was located in the northeast of Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, and its territory was the former village of Katakami. It first appeared in the joint signature of the Echizen Province Asuwa County Office in 951 as "Kengyokata Kamigosho Sobetto Ikue." The name of the manor appears in the entry for March 11, 1094, in the Chuu-u-ki as one of the lands transferred to the Emperor. According to a petition from before 1167 (a secret document in the Heihan-ki), when the Kano Yoriudo of this manor was abolished, 100 cho of Honda was made a non-transport manor and imperial duties were suspended. This was because the Tato, who also owned national land, used their power to withhold the government property, resulting in a shortage of four temples, Buddhist temples, and rice for the Nanjing Yushi. According to documents from the local Anrakuji Temple, the Kasuga Shrine, the clan deity of the Fujiwara clan, and the Hannya Temple, which is thought to have been the shrine temple, were built within the manor.
