An Italian film studio. Its name means "City of Film." It was planned in 1935 by order of Mussolini and opened in 1937. It is located 9 km south of Rome, with a site area of 140,000 m2 . It has a total of 17 filming stages, including studios for special effects, recording, and editing, and was known worldwide as the largest state-run film studio in Europe.
