The protagonist of the Bunraku puppet theater "Setsu Gappo Gatsuji." She was the second wife of the lord of Kawachi Province, and in order to save her stepson Shuntokumaru from the schemes of her illegitimate brother Jiromaru, who was plotting to become the heir, she faked a love affair with him, and achieved her goal by dying.
