Pope's Palace

…The central building of the Roman Catholic Church, adjacent to St. Peter's Basilica. It is a complex of buildings connected by 20 large and small courtyards, including important facilities such as the Papal Palace, Palazzo Pontificio, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museums, and the Vatican Library. Around the end of the 5th century, there was already a residence for the Pope, who lived in the Lateran Palace, on the north side of St. Peter's Basilica.
