?-1600 A military commander from the Sengoku to Oda-Toyotomi period.
Lord of Myokendake Castle in Usa, Buzen (Oita Prefecture). Served under Otomo Sorin and Yoshimune, and in 1551 he attacked the Ouchi clan and brought Buzen under his control. In 1572 he invaded Hyuga (Miyazaki Prefecture) and was defeated by the Shimazu army. Later he served Nakagawa Hidenari, and in the Battle of Sekigahara he took part in the siege of Usuki Castle in Bungo (Oita Prefecture), the stronghold of the Western Army, and was killed in battle in 1602. His given name was Chikakata. His surname can also be read as "Tahara."

豊前(ぶぜん)宇佐(大分県)妙見岳城主。大友宗麟(そうりん)・義統(よしむね)につかえ,弘治(こうじ)3年大内氏を攻めて豊前を勢力下におく。天正(てんしょう)6年日向(ひゅうが)(宮崎県)に遠征,島津軍に敗れる。のち中川秀成(ひでなり)につかえ,関ケ原の戦いでは西軍の拠点豊後(ぶんご)(大分県)臼杵(うすき)城攻めにくわわり,慶長5年戦死。名は親賢(ちかかた)。姓は「たはら」ともよむ。
