1869-1958 (Meiji 2-Showa 33) The first head of the Tate school of kouta. Her real name was Tachinaka. She was born in Tokyo and studied under Miyako Ichiina. Ichiina was a beloved disciple of Miyako Ichiyu, who was the leading tayu of Itchu-bushi after the death of the 8th Itchu, and left behind many kouta songs. She later became the second wife of the 2nd Kiyomoto Umeyoshi. Naka learned kouta, Itchu-bushi, and Kiyomoto from her teacher, and became a geisha in Yanagibashi under the name Konui at the age of 18, but later changed her name to Kocho and returned to Shinbashi. She retired from prostitution in 1907, but during that time she was a famous geisha and made a name for herself in the streets, gaining the acquaintances of many notable people, including Ito Hirobumi. 1869‐1958(明治2‐昭和33) 小唄〈蓼派〉初代家元。本名館(たち)なか。東京に生まれ,都一以奈(いちいな)に師事した。一以奈は8世一中没後の一中節を代表した太夫で多くの小唄も残した都以中(みやこいちゆう)の愛弟子で,のち2世清元梅吉の後妻となった人。なかは小唄,一中節,清元を師より習い,18歳から小縫の名で柳橋の芸者となったが,のち小蝶と名を改めて新橋に帰った。1907年に妓籍を退いたが,この間に名妓として巷(ちまた)を賑わせ,伊藤博文をはじめ多くの名士の知友を得た。 出典 株式会社平凡社世界大百科事典 第2版について 情報 |
