Abnormal sexual desire is generally thought of as being divided into quantitative abnormalities, such as increased or decreased sexual desire, and qualitative abnormalities, such as abnormalities in sexual objects and sexual goals. However, in recent times, these have come to be collectively referred to as "sexual disorders" and are generally classified as follows: (1) Sexual dysfunction: Sexual dysfunction caused by decreased or increased sexual desire, sexual aversion, male erectile dysfunction, orgasmic disorders, premature ejaculation, vaginal spasms, etc. (2) Sexual Preference Disorders There are sexual preference disorders such as exhibitionism, fetishism, pedophilia, sexual masochism, transvestite fetishism, voyeurism, as well as bestiality and necrophilia. In the past, these were thought of as being divided into disorders of sexual goals and disorders of sexual objects (sexual perversions). What constitutes these sexual abnormalities varies somewhat depending on the culture, society, region, and era, and it is difficult to immediately define. In general, acts that leave the perpetrator or his/her partner with severe physical or mental disabilities, acts that one of the sexual partners does not agree with or that are forced upon oneself, and acts that target children who are psychologically, physically, and sexually immature are often considered abnormal sexual behavior. In addition, regarding quantitative sexual abnormalities, it is difficult to determine what is normal in terms of the number of sexual intercourses or the frequency of orgasms. Therefore, medically, it should be considered a treatment target when there is a physical illness behind the sexual dysfunction, or when the sexual disorder causes distress to the person himself, or when the act causes pain or harm to those around him.
