Taki [town] - Taki
A town in Taki district, located in the Ise Plain in central Mie prefecture. The main settlement is Ouka on the south bank of the Kushida River, which developed as a strategic location where the Kumano Kaido and Hase Kaido roads intersect. The Sangu Line branches off from the Kisei Main Line at Taki Station. The Ise Expressway has the Sewa-Taki Interchange. In addition to rice and livestock farming, fruit cultivation such as mandarin oranges, persimmons, and pears is thriving. Sewa village, Taki district, was incorporated in January 2006. 103.06 km2 . 15,438 people (2010).

三重県中部,伊勢平野にある多気郡の町。中心集落は櫛田川南岸の相可(おうか)で,熊野街道と初瀬(はせ)街道の交わる要地として発達。多気駅で紀勢本線から参宮線が分岐。伊勢自動車道勢和多気インターチェンジがある。米作,畜産のほかミカン,カキ,ナシなど果樹栽培が盛ん。2006年1月多気郡勢和村を編入。103.06km2。1万5438人(2010)。
