A flat chipped stone tool with a sawtooth blade. Several pieces were inserted into a rod-shaped object to use. Its purpose is unclear, but one theory is that it was used to harvest grain or as a stabbing fishing tool. It is found in various parts of Europe and Asia, from the Korean Peninsula to the north and western part of Kyushu. It is widely believed that it was introduced to Japan in the Korean Peninsula along with comb-patterned pottery. In Japan, it was made from the late Jomon period to the final Jomon period.
