Sun Road - Sun Road

Japanese: 太陽道路 - たいようどうろ

This road runs through Glacier National Park in Montana, USA. It is a 52km long tourist road that crosses the park from east to west, and offers one magnificent view after another without ever getting bored. Starting from the east, the road starts across the grasslands and runs along the beautiful St. Mary Lake. After passing this lake, the road starts to climb steeply, and when you reach Logan Pass, which is on the continental divide, you will be greeted by beautiful mountain views all around. From here, the road starts to descend, and you will drive along the mountain stream until you arrive at Lake McDonald, a representative lake on the west side of the park.

アメリカのモンタナ州のグレーシャー国立公園内を走る道路。東西に公園を横断する、全長52kmの観光道路で、次々と現れる雄大な景色が飽きることなく続く。東からは草原をスタートして、美しいセントメリーレーク沿いに走る。この湖を過ぎると急な登り道になり、大陸分水嶺であるローガンパスに到達すると、周囲には美しい山々の眺望が広がる。ここからは下りに入り、渓流沿いの道を走ると、公園西側の代表的な湖、レークマクドナルドに到着する。
