Daimukenzan - Daimukenzan

Japanese: 大無間山 - だいむけんざん

Also called Daimugenzan. Located in the central-northern Shizuoka Prefecture, on the ridge that stretches southeast from Mt. Tekari, the southernmost part of the Akaishi Mountains. 2,329m above sea level. A majestic massif that stands behind the Ikawa Dam, with Mt. Shomuken (2,150m) to the northeast. Away from the main range of the Akaishi Mountains, and although its name is well known, few people climb it. The three gods of Tenso are enshrined on the summit. Covered in coniferous forests, the mountain is majestic and shoulder-high, but compared to Myojin-dani and its tributaries that flow down from the northern slope, the erosion of Sekinosawa Honya and Tashiro-zawa on the southern slope is stronger, forming numerous collapsed areas on the upper slopes, making it a steep, mature mountain range.

〈だいむげんざん〉とも呼ぶ。静岡県中北部，赤石山脈最南部の光（てかり）岳から南東にのびる山稜に位置する山。標高2329m。井川ダムの背後にそびえる堂々とした山塊で，北東に小無間（しようむけん）山(2150m)も控えている。赤石山脈の主脈から離れ，名前が知られているわりには，登山者が少ない。頂上に天祖三神がまつられている。針葉樹林におおわれた山体は，肩を張り雄大であるが，北斜面から流下する明神谷およびその支流に比べて，南斜面の関ノ沢本谷，田代沢の浸食力が強く，斜面上部に多数の崩壊地を形成して，急峻な壮年期山地となっている。
