Albanian politician. King of Albania as Zog I (reigned 1928-1939). Born into a distinguished family. He participated in the national independence movement against the Ottoman Empire (Turkey), and after World War I he served as Minister of the Interior and Commander of the Albanian Army, Prime Minister, and President in 1925. アルバニアの政治家。ゾグ１世としてアルバニア国王（在位1928年―1939年）。名家の出。オスマン帝国（トルコ）に対する民族独立運動に参加し，第１次大戦後アルバニアの内相兼軍司令官，首相を経て1925年大統領。保守派を背景に独裁権を握り王位についたが，1939年イタリア軍侵入でギリシアに亡命。
