Albanian politician. King of Albania as Zog I (reigned 1928-1939). Born into a distinguished family. He participated in the national independence movement against the Ottoman Empire (Turkey), and after World War I he served as Minister of the Interior and Commander of the Albanian Army, Prime Minister, and President in 1925.
