A river in the northwestern United States. A tributary of the Columbia River. It is 1,670 km long. It originates in Yellowstone National Park, flows west through Idaho, turns north, and flows through a deep gorge called Hell's Canyon on the border between Oregon and Idaho, before joining the main river in southeastern Washington.
