Born: August 7, 1430, Kyoto
[Died] May 2, 1508. A Hosso sect monk from the Nara Muromachi period. The 20th head priest of Daijo-in Temple at Kofuku-ji Temple. Son of Ichijo Kaneyoshi. His pen name was Go-Daijisanmai-in. He entered Daijo-in Temple in 1438 and began serving as head priest in 1439. In 1453 he was promoted to Shonen Sozu, in 1454 Daisozu, and in 1455 he was promoted to Hoin and Sojo, and in 1456 he was appointed Betto of Kofuku-ji Temple. The following year, in 1457, he became Daisozu. In 1467, he was appointed to the legal affairs department. Jinson stayed at Daijo-in Temple for 70 years and left behind many records. The diary Jinson Daisojoki, covering the period from 1450 to 1508, remains to this day, and was published in 1931 as Daijoin Temple and Shrine Miscellaneous Records.

室町時代の法相宗の僧。興福寺大乗院第 20代門跡。一条兼良の子。号は後大慈三昧院。永享 10 (1438) 年大乗院に入室し,同 13年門跡として院務についた。享徳2 (1453) 年少僧都,同3年大僧都,康正1 (1455) 年法印,僧正と累進し,同2年興福寺別当に就任。翌長禄1 (1457) 年大僧正となった。応仁1 (1467) 年法務に任じられた。尋尊は 70年の間大乗院に在院して多くの記録を残している。日記『尋尊大僧正記』は宝徳2 (1450) 年から永正5 (1508) 年までの分が現存,1931年『大乗院寺社雑事記』として刊行された。
