A person engaged in securities sales. A securities salesperson trades with investors on behalf of the securities company to which he or she belongs, but cannot engage in sales activities until he or she has passed the Securities Salesperson Examination administered by the Japan Securities Dealers Association and been registered in the Securities Salesperson Registration Book.
