Giulio Pippi was a 16th-century Italian painter and architect who was a representative Mannerist painter. Born in Rome, he trained in the workshop of Raphael. As his most accomplished student, he collaborated with him on many of his master's later works, including the murals in the Vatican. In 1524, he was invited by Federico Gonzaga to move to Mantua, where he built the duke's villa, Palazzo del Te (1525-32), worked on the renovation of the main palace, Palazzo Ducale, and supervised the city's urban and hydraulic planning.

マニエリスムを代表する16世紀イタリアの画家，建築家。本名ピッピGiulio Pippi。ローマに生まれ，ラファエロの工房で修業。その高弟として，バチカン宮殿内の壁画をはじめとする師の晩年の作品の多くを共同で制作した。1524年フェデリコ･ゴンザーガに招かれてマントバに移り，公の別荘パラッツォ･デル･テ(1525‐32)を建設，主宮殿パラッツォ･ドゥカーレの改修に従事し，市の都市･水利計画を指導した。
