A survey conducted to understand the characteristics of the ground, which is necessary when erecting a structure. This survey reveals the strength, composition, characteristics, and groundwater level of the ground, making it possible to construct the structure. Most surveys are conducted using Swedish soundings, which are inexpensive and relatively simple.
