Retroverted uterus

A type of uterine abnormality. Normally, the body axis and cervical axis are aligned with the pelvic axis, so the uterus is tilted forward and forward, but this refers to the opposite, tilted backward or backward. The condition is called uterine retroversion, retroversion, or retroversion. As the number of births increases, the muscles become loose, and retroversion of the uterus is more likely to occur when carrying heavy objects or doing heavy work, especially when the uterus is involuted. It can also be caused by adhesions due to endometriosis or pelvic peritonitis, or pressure from uterine fibroids. There is also congenital retroversion of the uterus. Symptoms include lower back pain and constipation. In many cases, there are no subjective symptoms. Mobile retroversion does not require treatment unless the symptoms are severe. Surgery is required if the condition is caused by adhesions due to inflammation.

子宮位置異常の一種。正常では体軸と頸(けい)軸が骨盤軸に一致する前傾前屈の形であるが，反対に後傾または後屈の場合をいう。病名としては，子宮後傾・後屈症，または子宮後転症という。出産回数が多くなると筋肉がゆるみ，特に子宮復古不全のときに重量物を持ったり重労働をすると子宮後屈を起こしやすい。また，子宮内膜症や骨盤腹膜炎などによる癒着(ゆちゃく)や，子宮筋腫(きんしゅ)などの圧迫によって起こることも。先天性子宮後屈もある。症状は腰痛，便秘など。自覚症状のない場合も多い。可動性後屈は症状の重い場合以外は治療の必要はない。炎症による癒着性の場合は手術が必要。
