Japanese: 三和[町] - さんわ

A former town in Jinseki County, eastern Hiroshima Prefecture. Most of the town is made up of the mountainous area of the Kibi Plateau. Agriculture and forestry are the main industries, but tobacco and konjac are also cultivated. In addition to raising Japanese beef, famous as Jinseki beef, the town also engages in dairy farming and poultry farming, and produces shiitake mushrooms and matsutake mushrooms. In November 2004, the town merged with Yuki Town, Jinseki Town, and Toyomatsu Village in Jinseki County to become Jinsekikogen Town. ^{Area 127.46 km2} . Population 4,622 (2003).

A former town in Amata County, central Kyoto Prefecture. It occupies the upper reaches of the Haze River, a tributary of the Yura River. There is little flat land, so agriculture is the mainstay, with rice as the mainstay, livestock farming and vegetable cultivation, and the town also produces shiitake mushrooms and chestnuts. There are also companies that make towels, hosiery, and sewing. National Route 9 runs through the town. In January 2006, it was incorporated into Fukuchiyama City along with Oe Town in Kasa County and Yakuno Town in Amata County. 90.53 ^km2 . Population 4,477 (2003).

The main settlement is the fishing port of Tameishi on the east coast. There is a swimming beach. Many people commute to Nagasaki City. A former town in Futami County, central Hiroshima Prefecture. Most of the area is in the mountainous region of the Kibi Plateau, and the area is primarily agricultural, producing rice for sake brewing, vegetables, and livestock. The main settlements are Hadeniwa and Shikina. In April 2004, it merged with Miyoshi City, Futami County's Kisa Town, Mirasaka Town, Kimita Village, Nuno Village, and Sakugi Village, and Konno Town, Konno County, to form Miyoshi City. 72.89 ^km2 . 3,873 people (2003).

A former town in Sashima District, western Ibaraki Prefecture. It occupies lowlands where small tributaries of the Tone River, such as the Iinuma River, flow south, and produces rice, wheat, and vegetables. The central settlement, Morokawa, flourished as a lodging town on the Nikko East Highway. New National Route 4 and National Route 125 pass through the town. In recent years, urbanization has progressed. In September 2005, it was incorporated into Sashima District's Sowa Town and Koga City. 49.78 ^km2 . Population: 39,667 (2003).

長崎県西彼杵(にしそのぎ)郡，長崎半島中部の旧町。長崎市の南に接し，茂木地区に続くビワの産地で，ミカンも栽培。主集落は東岸の漁港為石(ためし)。海水浴場がある。長崎市への通勤者が多い。2005年１月西彼杵郡香焼町，伊王島町，高島町，野母崎町，外海町と長崎市へ編入。21.74km²。１万2247人（2003）。

広島県中部，双三(ふたみ)郡の旧町。大部分が吉備(きび)高原の山地で，農業を主とし，酒米，野菜を産し，畜産を行う。主集落は羽出庭(はでにわ)，敷名(しきな)など。2004年４月三次市，双三郡吉舎町，三良坂町，君田村，布野村，作木村，甲奴郡甲奴町と合併し，三次市となる。72.89km²。3873人（2003）。
