Li Gang (Li Kang)

Chinese politician from the end of the Northern Song to the beginning of the Southern Song. Born in Shaowu (Fujian Province). His pen name was Boji and his title was Liangxi. He was a Jinshi in 1112. During the reign of Emperor Qinzong, he was a Minister of War. He advocated war against the Jin. In 1186, when the Pension Army advanced south, he tried to defend but was defeated and demoted to Ningjiang. When the Southern Song was restored and Emperor Gaozong came to power, he became prime minister and devised various schemes for military and civil administration, but was opposed by Huang Qianshan and resigned from his position. In 1192, he became an envoy to pacify Huguang, suppressed the exiles, and in 1193, he became an envoy to pacify Jiangxi. In 1194, he was appointed as an envoy to pacify the southern route of Jinghu, but resigned. His main works include Jingkang Chuanxin Lu, Jianyan Shizheng Ji, and Jianyan Zhitong Zhi.

中国，北宋末から南宋初めの政治家。邵武 (福建省) の人。字は伯紀。号は梁谿。政和2 (1112) 年の進士。欽宗のとき，兵部侍郎。金に対して主戦論を唱えた。靖康1 (26) 年金軍が南下したので防戦に努めたが敗れ，寧江に左遷された。南宋が復興し，高宗が立つと宰相となって軍政，民政にいろいろ画策したが，黄潜善に反対されて相位を去った。紹興2 (32) 年湖広宣撫使となり，流賊を平らげ，同5年に江西安撫制置大使となった。同9年荊湖南路安撫使に任じられたが辞した。主著『靖康伝信録』『建炎時政記』『建炎進退志』。
