1821‐70 French dancer and choreographer. From the age of 14, she was active throughout Europe as a dancer and violinist. In 1847, she married the famous dancer F. Cerritto and performed with him. She performed her own works The Marble Girl (1847) and The Devil's Violin (1849) with them in the lead roles at the Paris Opera, in which she danced and played the violin at the same time. She served as maître de ballet at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg (1859-70) and was also a guest choreographer at the Paris Opera.
