Alishan - Arisan

A mountain in central Taiwan. It is a western branch of the Yushan Mountain Range, and the main peak of the Alishan Mountain Range, which is made up of 18 mountain ranges stretching from northeast to southwest. It is 2,481 meters above sea level. It is located 40 kilometers east of Chiayi, and there is a railway line from Chiayi to Alishan Station. A bus service has also been opened in recent years. Forest development by the Japanese began in 1904, and since then it has produced high-quality red cypress, Japanese cypress, and cedar, making it one of Taiwan's major forest areas. It has long been known as a tourist destination for its beautiful scenery, and is famous as one of the eight scenic views of Taiwan, with its diverse forest plant landscapes with vertical distribution due to temperature differences, sacred trees that are over 3,000 years old, and sea of ​​clouds at sunrise.
