Computer architecture
In the narrow sense, it refers to the hardware specifications that are visible to system software such as the OS and compilers, i.e., the machine instruction set, data format, input/output method, etc. In the broad sense, it refers to the macro hardware configuration method of a computer without going into details such as logic circuits. Below are three types of architecture in the broad sense.
[Sequential Computer]
This type of computer is used in personal computers (PCs) and workstations (WS), and its basic operation is as described in the Computer section.

 このタイプのコンピューターはパーソナルコンピューター(PC)やワークステーション(WS)に利用されており,基本動作は〈コンピューター〉の項に述べた通りである。
