Industrial capital is constantly increasing in value, taking the forms of monetary capital, commodity capital, and productive capital, but when considering the difference in value transfer or recovery for productive capital, two types of capital can be distinguished. First, looking at constant capital (German: konstantes Kapital), most of the capital called means of labor, such as machines and factory buildings, does not completely lose its use value function in one production process, but rather loses its function only when its durability reaches its limit after a fixed function in several production processes.
