? - 1646 (Shoho 3) A parish priest in the early Edo period. Also known as Pedro Antonio, he studied at the seminary in Rome and was ordained a priest in 1610 or 1611. He returned to Japan via Macau in August 1615 (Genwa 1), and was arrested in Nagasaki in August 1616, where he renounced his faith. He later cooperated with Nagasaki magistrate Hasegawa Gonroku Fujimasa, providing him with information on the situation in Europe and Christianity, and worked as an interpreter in questioning missionaries and investigating Portuguese ships.
