Kosaza [town] - Kosaza
A former town in the west of the Kita Matsuura Peninsula, Kita Matsuura District, Nagasaki Prefecture. It developed as a mining town in the Sasebo coalfields, but after the coal recession, fishing became the main industry, and anchovy processing is also popular. The coast is a typical drowned valley, and it is home to the Kujuku Islands and belongs to Saikai National Park. Incorporated into Uku Town, Kita Matsuura District, and Sasebo City in March 2006. 29.92 km2 . 7,370 people (2003).
