Property used by the Imperial Family in the country. It is classified as administrative property within national property. After World War II, all former Imperial Family property became the property of the state, and as a result, the Imperial Palace, Imperial Residence, villas, Imperial Villa, hunting grounds, mausoleums, etc., all became Imperial Family property, excluding personal property of the Imperial Family such as daily necessities, favorite art and crafts, the three Imperial Palace sanctuaries, and the Three Sacred Treasures. The Imperial Household Agency manages the property.
