Estimated decrease in income - Genshuu Suitei

Japanese: 減収推定 - げんしゅうすいてい

This is a task carried out when forecasting yields of various crops, and involves estimating the extent to which crops have been damaged by weather disasters (cold damage, wind and flood damage, etc.) and have lost yield compared to the standard yield if no damage occurs. If the loss in yield exceeds 30% (or 20% in some cases), compensation will be paid according to the extent of the loss through a mutual aid system funded by contributions from farmers and subsidies from the government, and disaster compensation will be provided. The target crops include rice, wheat, fruit trees, vegetables, field crops, etc., and cover most crops.

諸作物の収量を予想する場合に行う作業で，作物が気象災害(冷害･風水害など)によって被害を受けた場合に，被害を受けない場合(基準収量)に比べてどの程度減収したかを推定すること。その減収程度が30％(場合によっては20％)以上となると，その程度に応じて，農家の掛金と国の資金補助のもとに行われている共済制度によって，共済金が支払われ災害補償が行われる。対象作物はイネ，ムギ，果樹，野菜，畑作物などとなっていて，ほとんどの作物に及んでいる。
