When you are in a high mountain at sunrise or sunset and have the sun at your back and thick mist spreading out in front of you, your shadow is projected large and a ring of light appears around it that is red on the outside and blue on the inside. In Japan, it is called Omikami, Omikami of the Mountain, or Omikami of Buddha, and in Europe and the US, it is also called the Brocken phenomenon or Brocken ghost as it is often seen on Mount Brocken in central Germany. In special cases, it is called Ura Omikami, Uroa no ha, Omikami of the Inada, etc. Meteorologically, it is an optical phenomenon caused by diffraction by fog particles and the like. (→ Omikami)

A manufacturer of currency handling machines. Founded in 1918 as Kokuei Machinery Manufacturing, the company was reorganized as a joint-stock company in 1944. In 1971, the company changed its name to Glory Industries, and in 2006, changed its name to Glory. Since its establishment, the company has manufactured and sold currency handling machines such as coin counting machines, coin sorters, and banknote exchangers. It also handles cigarette vending machines and coin lockers. In 2017, the company entered the robotics system integration business.

高山で，日の出や日の入り時に，太陽を背にして前方に深い霧が広がっているとき，自分の影が大きく写し出されるとともに，その影のまわりに外側が赤色で内側が青色の光の輪が現れるもの。日本では，御光，山の御光，仏の御光等と呼ばれ，欧米ではドイツ中部のブロッケン山でよく見られることからブロッケン現象，ブロッケンの妖怪ともいわれる。また，その出現の特別な場合に裏御光，ウロアの輪，稲田の御光などと呼ばれる。気象学的には，霧粒等による回折作用から生じる光学現象である。（→光環）

貨幣処理機のメーカー。1918年国栄機械製作所を創業，1944年株式会社に改組。1971年グローリー工業に社名を変更。2006年社名をグローリーに改称。設立後から硬貨計算機，硬貨選別機，紙幣両替機といった貨幣処理機を製造，販売。たばこ自動販売機やコインロッカーも手がける。2017年にはロボットシステムインテグレーション事業に参入した。
