A town in Yubari County, Hokkaido. It borders Yubari City in the east and spreads from the plains along the Yubari River to the Yubari Mountains in the west. It is on the Muroran Main Line and is home to rice, field crops and livestock farming. Area: 203.93 km2 . Population: 13,340 (2010).
