(2) In the Edo period, there was a tendency for consonants to be voiced when attached to nouns, clear when attached to ko, so, a, or do, and both clear and voiced forms when attached to conjugated words.
(3) In most cases, it can be replaced with "hodo", but in the case of the usage in ② "to emphasize the degree as being light", it cannot be replaced with "hodo".
