Scrub‐bird - Scrub‐bird

Japanese: クサムラドリ(叢鳥) - クサムラドリ(英語表記)scrub‐bird
Scrub‐bird - Scrub‐bird
A general term for birds of the passerine order Atrichornithidae family. This family consists of two species, distributed only locally in parts of Australia. The Rufescens is about 16cm long, with a brown head, back, wings, and tail, and fine black-brown stripes on the sides. The abdomen is light brown. Females have a white throat and dark brown upper chest to sides, while the dark brown part of the upper chest of males runs down the center of the throat and reaches the base of the beak. The tail is somewhat long compared to the body, making the bird look like a large version of a wren.
