1390‐1453 A Korean civil servant and scholar of the Yi Dynasty. His pen name was Gukgyeong, and his pen name was Jeoljae. He was from Suncheon. In response to the invasion of the Jurchen people, he established six towns in the north and established the Tumen River as the border. He also took overall command of the revision of the History of Goryeo, and compiled and published the History of Goryeo (Jeolyo). He was known as a great tiger for his wisdom and bravery. When King Danjong ascended to the throne, he assisted the young king at the command of King Munjong, but he was killed by Prince Suyang ( ancestor ) and was beheaded for high treason and conspiracy.
