The common name for the All Japan Metalworkers' Union Council (Kinzokurokyo). It is also simply called JC (Japanese Committee). It was established in May 1964 under the name of the International Metalworkers' Federation Japan Council (IMF-JC) as a window for international solidarity in Japan for the IMF (International Metalworkers' Federation). It changed to its current name in December 1975 (its name remains the same). Since its formation, it has been promoting a labor movement with an international perspective in response to the development of Japan's economy and industry, and as a large industrial organization of the metalworking industry that goes beyond the framework of a national center, it has played an important role in the movement to unify the labor front that led to the formation of Zenminrokyo (December 1982).

全日本金属産業労働組合協議会(略称金属労協)の通称。単にJC(Japanese Committeeの略)ともいう。1964年5月，国際金属労連日本協議会(IMF‐JC)の名称のもとに，IMF(International Metalworkers’ Federation，国際金属労連)の日本における国際連帯の窓口として発足。75年12月現名称に変更(IMF‐JCという名称はそのまま)。結成以来，日本の経済･産業の発展に対応した，国際的視野をもった労働運動を進めており，またナショナル･センターの枠を超えた金属産業の大産別組織として，全民労協の結成(1982年12月)に至る労働戦線統一の流れのなかで重要な役割を果たしてきた。
