Born on June 19, 1902. In 1922, he participated in the Suiheisha movement, and became the first person to be arrested in Nara Prefecture for denouncing discrimination at an elementary school. He was arrested in the Fukuoka Regiment Discrimination Case and received a total of eight years in prison. In 1948, he founded the Buraku Liberation and Buraku Problem Research Institute, serving as its permanent director. He passed away on June 11, 1988. He was 85 years old. He was from Nara Prefecture.
